Reed Weston (23) and crew Ally Hansen (23) along with Abe Weston (25) and crew Tina Dombrowski (23) took on the MCSA in the annual Fall Fury at Wisconsin. The beloved Honey Badgers also competed in the regatta, lead by Marissa Tegeder (25) with crew Sophie Lusty (24) and Mary Castellini (25) with crew Ellie Murphy (24). The first day began with little to no wind on the water, so a postponement was issued. Eventually there was a steady breeze of around 5 knots so the A fleet went out to sail. Shortly after, the wind had fallen back to 0. After playing the waiting game, the wind filled in from the North at a strong 10-11 knots. Racing began. With the fear of storms the next day, our PRO decided to do as many races as possible on that Saturday. As wind picked up and the waves grew in size, we did just that, getting 7 races in for each fleet. All Wisco sailors did very but a huge shout out to the Honey Badgers and Badgers of the B fleet for combined picket fencing the day. The next day was cold, rainy, and windy, and our PRO decided to cancel all races for the day. Wisco ended up with a clean sweep, taking both 1st and 2nd. A fun regatta with exciting sailing!
